Spain Is Really Cool

Another fun and interesting week here in Leganés! We started teaching a lady from the Ukraine who's pretty awesome and speaks english but she also very casually told us that her ex husband is trying to kill her so she's trying to stay away from him... So we're praying for her... 

The weird food this week was cow lights ! I still don't know what cow lights are but I ate it because Teodora gave it to us and I can't turn her down, she's too cute. We met with a family this week and played taboo with them and it was awesome cuz then we connected it to the great apostasy!! We said to imagine that the word on the card was Priesthood, but once Jesus and his apostles died, they took this card and word, thus authority with them and all people had were the words similar. Like baptism, sacrament, repentance and this led to the forming of so many churches and that's why there was a need for the Restoration. It was pretty awesome. 

Also we've started meeting with Jaime from Colombia, he just moved here 3 monthd ago, who is such a sweet guy honestly, he came to our stake conference Saturday night and made some friends!! Yaaaas. We're trying to make it so the only people he meets here in Spain are from the church haha. But after the conference we drove back w an Hermano, and a Spaniard who is just like an old crazy lady who's amazing came with us and she just starts pulling food out of her bag and gives everyone a banana and is like going on and on about how cheap and good the bananas and carrots are that she got and then gives us carrots then she pulls out a chocolate bar for everyone and opens one and starts making us eat it hahaha. Jaime was probably very confused. Then she pulls out crackers and is like look these are healthy, they're wheat they have a leaf on them lol. She's just like always 100mph and it's sooo funny. Basically Mary poppins. 

We went to Toledo today! It's BEAUTIFUL. Seriously, the castles and architecture and ruins were incredible. We hiked around and got to explore the area and go into the little shops. Also Hermana Nelson is serving in Toledo and she just is hilarious so it was a good time. 

Some things I learned this week: Peruvians are so amazing but so funny to take pictures with lol. I also started reading the New testament and it is amazing, I don't know why I didn't read it more before, I encourage you all if you have studied it to study it and then live it. Christ is just incredible. I also learned that member references are the best, so refer all your friends to the missionaries pleaze! I know this isn't a lot haha but I promise I'm learning so much and loving the mission!
