I Heart España

Another week for the books! Lots of fun crazy stuff and lots of miracles! I'm feeling a lot more comfortable here and really enjoying the members and learning more and more spanish!

So for starters, there was a conojito (bunny) in our piso!! We came home and it was just sitting in our living room! It's the ugliest bunny you ever did see though  :( it's our Russian neighbors, Hermana Burnham was like screaming and freaking out and we thought it was gunna commit suicide off our terrace but luckily it didn't.

Miracles of the week: INTERCAMBIOS was absolutely amazing. I learned so much Spanish and so much about contacting and lessons. Like we talked to just about everyone on the street And got so many phone numbers. We invited tons of people to clases de inglés because we do that every week for people for service. A couple overheard us and were SO interested in talking to us and hearing about our lives and why were here, they took us down to a cafe for drinks and tapas and we taught the whole first lesson!! The lady wanted us to come over all the time and meet again and she was so sad that it was intercambios cuz she really wanted me to come back. They were just the nicest people and we gave them a Book of Mormon and I've never been able to understand and speak Spanish better than that hour! We also still have that awesome family and the father is getting baptized soon and we really think we're going to be able to commit the whole family to be baptized on the same date! They are basically already part of the ward and everyone loves them and their kids. I just love the church and how blessed we are to be able to have so many awesome people that are willing to help and serve. We also have another sweet sweet investigator that for sure is getting baptized soon, we just need to meet again, she is SO ready for the gospel and her cousin is helping her too and she's just this cute little Peruvian lady and I love her!!!!

We had dinner with some members this week and they just feed you so much, it's insane, miracles happen when you have an eating appointment because the amount of spaghetti I had the other night was like quadruple what I would have been able to normally consume. And I got to play fútbol again! With tons of the people from Leganés, I'll be a pro in no time. Hopefully we can meet for lessons with a couple of the people that were there. We also set up Facebook this week, that's crazy, so I'll be using my same facebook!! We get more info Friday, Hermana Burnham and I already have some great plans for our posts.

Pday! We met up with Hermana Nelson and her comp, Hermana Liddicott! We did a little bit of shopping in Gran vía but best part was the amazing helado in the shape of a flower and the view from El Corte Inglés which is like an IKEA but basically a million times better. The view was INSANE! I felt like I was looking at a picture. We (now HKletzli & Fields) also tried to go tapa hopping, so you basically just go to all the different bars/cafe places which are EVERYWHERE and just order a drink and eat the free tapas which are like snacks, so like tiny sandwiches or chips, bread, stuff like that. But we didn't know in Sol it's like dumb and they don't have a lot of places that give you free tapas cuz it's a super overrated area cuz it's all shopping and stuff, so now were sitting here sad and probably gunna go find somewhere to just get lunch now, lol. (We found a Tierra which is lile the cloeset thing to chipotle lol) But we got to go to Plaza Mayor and just hang out and walk around and it's so beautiful. Lots of interesting people and mimes and weird people dressed as like dragons but it was so cool!

The work is seriously amazing, I'm loving just relating everyone's trials or anything to the scriptures. The book of Mormon is seriously just like a map for our lives.

Thoughts from over the week: The Holy Ghost affects our charity, love, patience, and positive attitude SO much. When were filled with the spirit we have more of a desire to love and serve and were full of charity. We can't just use Sundays as a way to recharge our batteries. Every day we need to be finding ways to feel the spirit to recharge us and help us be full of charity, we need to be praying for the spirit to guide us and uplift our thoughts and actions, I firmly believe this will help us become like Him and grow and blossom into amazing people full of love and service. I love you all and I hope you're all working hard, pushing forward and know thst I'm always praying for you!

If you guys have time this week read this talk, "Concern for the One." It's a really good one. I hope my investigators each feel the special love that I have for each of them individually and each of you.
