Wow, I reflect on my email last week and so much has changed. This week was honestly AMAZING. So much happened and so many wonderful experiences.
I really really grew with my companions this week. The temple session last week with Hermana Nebo for her to take her endowments out was amazing. The opportunity to be an escort (to go through the temple with her and help her) was absolutely amazing and something I will never forget. I kept asking her how she was feeling and one time she said, "I feel like I am in heaven." It was so cute. I love my companions so much and we have crazy fun together even when were dysfunctional, which happens a lot and it's hilarious and so great 😂
Weird/fun stuff that happened: I went to urgent care for like 4 hours so that was awesome, I was just like really really dizzy and almost blacked out and nauseous and it was wild but it's all good now! My motto every day has just been that every day is a great day, even if it wasnt a good day! It's crazy how much I've learned already! I can pray, testify, and teach in Spanish and I have the first vision and some scriptures memorized, it's so exciting! Something else cool, Hermana Nebo has the devos translated to Marshallese so every devo we get to sit right in front because that's where the reserve ares is for translation, so I think that's pretty cool. She also got reassigned yesterdsy from the DR to Texas!! I'm so happy for her and even more happy that she's still my companion and that didn't change. She's a sweet heart that's really trying her best.
I learned and focused a LOT this week on turning outward. My sole purpose here as a missionary is not to convert people, the spirit does that, it's not to learn and grow for myself, but it's to LOVE. Christ, even in his most devastating and difficult times did not turn inward, and did not say woe is me, but he turned outward and looked for every way to love and serve. My mission is not about me, it's about everyone else. I'm focusing on loving and serving all around me and being positive about everything and the difference has been incredible and I would invite you all to find ways every day to love and serve. It's been an incredible experience.
I found out that I'm going to Spain on August 15th now and im so excited but also seriously so sad. It's breaks my heart to think I have to leave these people, my teachers, my district, this place, so much sooner, but I know it will be wonderful either way. I think I'm going to the Spain mtc, I don't really know yet haha, just know that my friend Sister Blaise and I will be flying there and the mission president will be picking us up, I don't know all the details yet.
