Adios Provo MTC

Hola!!

I feel like I just emailed yesterday, this week seriously went by SO fast. I can barely even remember all that happened! For starters, you guys probably noticed the subject line, I leave for Spain Monday morning! I still don't know what's happening once I get there, but I'm assuming the MTC (CCM). It's going to be an awesome experience but I never thought I would say I don't want to leave the mtc. The love I have for my companions is insane, I can't even put it into words. They are the greatest people and we were made for each other. I'm going to miss them so so much, but I know Spain has a lot in store for me. They've been singing "Til We Meet" and "How Can I Live Without You" all week long, and it's been making me so sad. If you didn't know, they're still here for another 3 weeks, but I got transferred early. So basically I'm leaving them :(

Touching experience: When we read chapters from scriptures as a class, Hermana Christianson (my awesome teacher) asks us to think of a question and write it down first so we can be thinking about something while we read, so later that night after class, Hermana Miole showed me her question and it was "How are we going to survive without Hermana Peterson?" I started crying of course, I thought that was really sweet, she even searched for answers in the scriptures and said that she knows the Lord will support them and they can do all things through God. I love her. (Video of them singing below)

So Bednar was here on Sunday, wow was that awesome. He just has the best answers and always knows exactly what to say and is so direct about it. I was thinking a lot about what a blessing it is to be able to hear from apostles in person, they are directly called from a God, like that's so cool, and we were in the front because of Hermana Nebo having devos translated, so that was even better.

We taught our first investigator Rosa this week. I was so nervous and kept messing up the second lesson but I let myself get out of the way for the second and let the spirit help and I was able to understand everything and have full conversations and teach the Gospel to her in spanish!!! It was an awesome experience and I'm sad I won't get to teach her anymore.

Our district got a lot closer this week and were really all opening up to each other more and have really awesome conversations that bring such a sweet different spirit. Through an activity we did I learned a lot about each of them and their trials and struggles from abuse, death of parents and siblings, drug abuse affecting their lives, and suicidal thoughts. I couldn't help but feel like I have been so incredibly blessed in my life with people like all of you and my amazing family and especially the Gospel. It was awesome to hear how the Gospel played a huge role in their lives with all of their struggles. They are all so courageous and strong and I have a lot of respect for them for deciding to serve.

I have a funny story:  We were walking and they're still doing tours at the MTC, so we were walking past a bunch of people and Hermana Miole goes, "Necesito numero 2 hermana, ahora" and a family next to us spoke Spanish and he was like, "hermana, necesita hacer que?" And he was laughing, so he was like you need to what? Hahaha it was hilarious.

I love you all, I'm not sure when I will be able to email next because of my travel plans and what not but I pray for you guys a lot and will continue to do so! Off to Spain I go!!!

With loves,

Hermana Peterson

***As a side note...This was her ending sentence to me on her email to me.  These are the kinds of things a mom needs to hear to be at perfect peace***

"I hope you know I'm doing awesome and seriously loving it.
Like no regrets or sadness or anything ever. I hope it just gets better from here.
Love you so much, thank you for the prayers.
You'll hear more about my week from my group email! "
