The Lord Works Miracles

This was a pretty incredible week and we saw a whole lot of miracles and met a lot of people! I seriously love my trio and all that's we've been learning from each other and been able to accomplish.

REALLY COOL STORY: I decided to like test my faith this week and try out the thing where you think of a question and open the book of Mormon to a random page and try to find an answer withing the verses on those 2 pages. I wasn't doubting before but I was just kind of like yeah everyone does it and they get cool experiences but I mean really... Like is it really just that easy... So I did! For those of you who don't know, I have to go home after this transfer for just one transfer, a 6 week period, to take care of some health stuff and have a small little procedure done and what not.... Really not a big deal but I'm really sad that I'll have to go home, even though its a short time and I'll be right back. Well, my thoughts and worries recently have been like what's going to happen and how can I make sure I stay strong through those 6 weeks and stay focused so that I come right back and keep working. So that was basically my question. I opened up my scriptures to pages 226 and 227. The very first thing I read was the summary of Alma 8. Basically what's happening is Alma goes to preach the gospel in Ammonihah and gets discouraged and leaves. An angel of the Lord tells him to lift up his head and rejoice commands him to return and preach unto the people because their repentance is at hand. This is also when he meets Amulek and they end up being power team and kill it out there.  I felt so uplifted and full of the spirit and empowered.

I know this was God's way of explaining to me that there are people that need me and to lift up my head and rejoice and return and find these people and have these wonderful experiences and carry the Gospel to the hearts of all His children. The Lord really works in mysterious ways.

The primary program was this week and little Ashley, our investigators daughter was in it and the CUTEST thing I ever did see. She knew all the songs!! We're also slowly becoming addicted to Polvoron which is so bad haha it's such a traditional Spanish treat around the holidays and it's so flipping good. It takes a lot of self control to resist it. Anyways, I won't be able to email until the 20th when I have my next p day cuz of the temple! But I love you all and I hope you're taking advantage of the amazing Christmas season!!!
