I got my baby! Her name is Hermana Clayton and she's adorable, an incredible singer, and from Colorado! Hermana Parkinson and I have been loving training her together, oh how grateful I am to know that families are eternal!
So, this week was very different. It's been a weird adjustment to a new companion, a trio, and training, but with faith we push forward.
Miracle of the week was meeting Luna. She's 12 and absolutely incredible. She plays lots of instruments and sings and just about everything else. She's the niece of a member and we went to do a random noche de hogar and she's living at their house now! So, we talked with her and taught them then got to teach her again and she came to English clases and the young women's activity. She has so much potential and is already reading the book of Mormon. A weak earlier we extended the invitation to a member named Jenny, who's 19 who I've talked about, to give a book of Mormon to someone. At English classes sweet, amazing Jenny wrote a long note and her testimony in the bom and gave it to Luna. Seriously if all members were that awesome everyone would be baptized. Luna already has an amazing foundation in the church and that's exactly what every investigator needs.
Well the light the world video is out and is LIT, especially out here. All we have to do is ask someone if they've seen it and act REALLY surprised when they say they haven't and then just be like wait so really you haven't seen it and then they think it's something really big and the coolest thing ever and have to know what it is and do it lol a little bit manipulative but like it works...lol
Well my recent convert Alex is still in the hospital from falling from a huge ladder at work and also all their family and friends in their country in Honduras are struggling a lot and everyone has to stay in their houses because they're killing just about everyone that goes outside and burning down stores. My prayers have never been so strong this week for this family and the people out there. I found myself crying and praying one night asking God to let me take all of the trials this family has been constantly seeing so that they can just be okay and relax and Johahna and her kids can be baptized, and I can't even imagine what Christ went through. That was exactly what he did, but for EVERYONE. He took upon the pains of everyone but if only it was as simple as me being able to take upon the pains of our investigators to help them towards baptism. But I know God has his plan, for each and every one of his children and right now this family is being hit with all of their trials, and maybe to help them realize that God really is there protecting them through all of this. The members have been helping immensely its insane.
There's not a single doubt in my mind that this church is true and that this Gospel blesses and positively affects the lives of everyone. Every single person needs the Gospel and the power it brings into our lives. Love you all and I hope you're loving and taking advantage of #LightTheWorld and helping everyone around you during this Christmas season. Also we taught a member the word lit this week and she leaves on the mish soon so we told her to use it with all her comps haha
