So I've mentioned Hermana Nelson before, so this week we had chicken wings and they put the rest in a huge bowl and we dared her to eat the whole bowl and she just attacked it but then we ran out of time and she couldn't finish but it was quite hilarious and definitely explains the mission life. Also, Blaise and I are basically always singing and it's awesome but we straight had a concert in the bathroom one night (more Hannah Montana of course), it was like fake microphones and blow dryers to the face and everything. The Elders the next day (our bathroom is on the other side of their rooms and bathroom) were asking everyone who was singing, so our concert was not only for the sisters hahaha. Blaise and I have decided were starting a band post mish so get our autographs while you can.
AWESOME EXPERIENCE: this is so small prob compared to what the field will hold, but Saturday we were talking with a couple guys and we had already given out both of our books, but one guy was really interested and I was like I'm sorry I wish I had a book for you but we don't have anymore but download the app blah blah, but my comp was like I have one! And I thought it was this crazy miracle that a BOM appeared out of nowhere, and it was a miracle that ended up being crazy but not like that. We gave the guy the book and he was so excited! So the random BOM came from Elders that were walking by and had an extra that my comp snagged. I later found out that those elders had felt prompted to walk to the opposite end of the park but didn't know why. It all made sense. Heeding the promptings of the spirit is so important. I'm grateful those elders were worthy of the spirit and heeded that prompting and I'm really really praying that man ends up finding a church building and reading the BOM!
I realized something that I would have never thought of before. My patriarchal blessing tells me I've been blessed with many gifts such as compassion and understanding, but what I didn't think about until this week was that those require my worthiness of the Holy ghost. I always assumed I was entitled to those gifts, but we're not entitled to anything. It is only through the sacred, wonderful power of the Holy Ghost that I have those gifts. The spirit is the only way we know the truth of the atonement and the truth of all things (Moroni 10:5) Keep the spirit in yours lives everyone, He is a piece of Chrsit that we can have with us and he will comfort us in times of despair and always be there for us.
I can't believe I'm almost out of the CCM. It's unreal. I'm SO SO excited though. Our "investigator" committed to baptism this week! I just can't wait for this to be real life though! Last p day has been wonderful, we went to the Gran via. So beautiful and so many American stores haha felt like home but not at all. Everyone was dying to have Five Guys.
